Winter or summer?!

I am having my hair done this week and have medium brown hair and blue eyes and a fairly pale complexion. I have had highlights in the past (caramel, honey etc) but am thinking of going for darker ones for the autumn and winter. I have heard that some people are a winter colour and others are summer-how do you know? Which will suit me?!

There are four colour seasons (spring, summer, autumn, winter) and loads of online guides but a quick test to see whether you're warm (spring, autumn) or cool (summer, winter) is to put some white fabric against your face (without make-up) and then try a light cream. If white looks best then you're cool, if the cream looks best then you're warm. I do find that a light cream works better than off-white or ivory as those shades can be very close to white and still very cool.

You're welcome and sorry about the username, I forgot to change back and I'm now stuck with it for this thread 😂

You can upload a picture ChatGPT and ask it your colours, it'll even show you different hair colours/ styles

Look at the veins in your wrist - if they’re blue you’re summer or winter with a cool undertone. Then if you have high contrast (eg very dark hair and pale skin) and suit brighter, clear colours and black you’re a winter. If your hair is lighter so there’s less contrast between your hair, skin and eyes and you suit more muted colours you’re a summer.
