Baffled by Vinted Postage!

Hi, can anyone help me please?

I am having a clearout and selling a few bits on Vinted. I selected InPost Locker only as my postage method as it’s just down the road and means I can get things sent out asap.

Today I sold 3 things and when I downloaded the digital shipping labels, one said Yodel collect from home, one said Royal Mail and one said Evri parcel shop. I had already gone to the InPost lockers so had to turn around and go home!

Can buyers just change my chosen delivery method - and I have to go with their choice?

Thanks!

Vinted allows buyers to override your preferred postage method, but I think they will also allow you to cancel the sale without penalty if you want to.

I'm the same as you - InPost is by far the most convenient for me, so I have a very polite note in all my listings saying that I can send InPost items out within 24 hours but if you choose a different method it'll take longer. It seems to work!

I am sure you can cancel the sale but double check your settings first because Vinted have a habit of turning postage options on themselves.

I have cancelled before and sent a message to the buyer saying why. I give them the option to buy again using Evri or inpost which re my 2 locals.

Oh thank you both for explaining - good idea to add a note to my listings!

I have checked the settings and I only have InPost enabled, so it was a bit frustrating to see that 3 other couriers had been selected!

Just in case you haven’t seen - InPost is having problems with pick ups and deliveries following their merger with Yodel. Lots of lockers seem to be totally full and parcels not moving. It might explain why buyers are choosing other services!

Royal mail is easier as you just put in post box
