Can you help me find a coat to wear with this skirt?

I've got this skirt and would like a jacket/coat to wear with it but I've no idea what. I want to wear it with long brown boots in the autumn/winter. Do I need a trench coat (I can't wear the sand coloured pale coats - they look awful on me) or a short jacket? All help gratefully received!
