I cant wear high heels and have wide feet and suffer from plantar fasciitis from time to time as well as menopausal joint pain, so I live in fit flops, skechers and birkenstocks in summer and trainers and birkenstock boots in winter. I would love something more elegant to wear with trousers and dresses. Does anyone jave any suggestions please?

I have just bought two pairs of wide fit loafers, one navy leather from Dune and one black suede from Jones Bootmaker. I’ve never had loafers before but I’m completely in love with them both! So incredibly comfortable and they look smart for the office.

I’ve recently bought my first pair of Vivaia shoes. They’re so comfortable. I went for a low, pointed toe pair of slip on mules (I love this shape, as they suit me and they’re close to sandals) in a beautiful red with a bow. They look great with jeans, trousers etc. really pleased with them.

Hi @Pigeon123456 could you link to the navy blue shoes? I’m been looking for exactly this! Thanks

The vivaia ones are lovely. I had not heard of them before. They are very different to what i usually wear so i am tempted to go for them. I will take a look at Dune and Jones as well. It was lethal to ask on here as i feel like it wont be 1 pair of shoes after all.

Following this thread closely, I’m at a huge loss when it comes to shoes - I went into Schuh and Office yesterday and other than those bloody Birkenstock clogs and the dm stand (limited and only boots on display) it was wall to wall trainers.
I love trainers and wear them almost exclusively but I do need some shoes for smart occasions and there is barely anything to choose from other than loafers which I hate, it’s very hard!

How about the Fitflop Mary Janes? I haven’t tried them yet, but they claim to be as comfortable as trainers.

Dune loafers are very soft leather and are insanely comfortable. Highly recommend!
