Hair advice please

I’ve had a lengthy period of being unwell and the last thing I felt like doing was sitting in a hairdressers chair for upwards of two hours having highlights.

Consequently, my hair is pretty out of hand 🙈 I’m having it cut tomorrow but am desperate for the colour to be sorted.

It’s still got plenty of blonde through, my natural mid brown underneath. I’m pretty grey at the roots though.

I was hoping to colour at home after it’s been cut. There’s way to much hair to colour it beforehand.

My worry is that when I’ve home dyed it previously, the roots at the front go a bit orange.

Im thinking of a colour that is strong enough to lift the grey and brown and a toner to counteract the orange effects.

Any recommendations please? There’s a Sally’s in my town so can buy professional colour if needed.

Sorry to read you have not been well

id really encourage you to have your hairdresser do your colour. They will be able to adjust the colour so that it looks great. Let them know how often you are prepared to have it done and they will be able to find a way that works for you. All the best
