After chemotherapy for primary breast cancer my hair is growing back (yay!) It's currently about 0.75 to 1 cm long all over.
I've started going out without a headscarf but as the weather is cooling down I am looking for a stylish beanie or similar. I have a lovely chunky bobble hat that I wear when hiking but want something rather more chic (and possibly to wear indoors.)
Any ideas would be gratefully received - I'm trying to avoid the "special cancer hats" options so looking for something from a mainstream retailer.

I’m no fashionista so can’t advise but just wanted to wish you well x

Hi @SuboptimalSitu I'm so glad you are recovering. I was looking for a hat that was warm but a bit more stylish than a beanie and after much Googling ended up with this cloche hat. It's very reasonable, I think delivery was free. It's good quality and it looks really pretty on and not too extravagant.

It's light so could probably be worn indoors too. This company have more hats than you could throw a stick at so if you don't like this one there might be on you do like.

Our local hippy clothing type store has an amazing hat selection. Maybe there is a similar shop near you?

I know a couple of stylish people who feel the cold all year round - they’re buying these on repeat (generally in the sales), and wearing them in the house as well as for going out:

I think a lot depends on your face shape and overall style, but I’d be looking at satin lined turban styles- knitted for outdoors or jersey for indoors.

Wishing you all the best for your recovery.
