Face exercises/face yoga recommendations?

Hi, I'm about to turn 52 before the end of the year and I feel like my face has aged 20 years in the last 2! Particularly around my mouth and jawline.

While I'm delighted to be lucky enough to be getting older (as opposed to the alternative), the speed at which my face is showing it is a little alarming and I feel as though now is definitely the time I need to start some sort of face exercise regime - if it's not too late already!

Those of you who already do this, do you have a particular person whose exercises you follow and, if so, do they have some sort of exercise program? Or do you have a book or an app or something else that tells you what exercises to do each day or week?

I don't really know where to start!

Thanks very much.

I mean, just google face yoga and you'll find plenty.

@lavendermilkshake it’s likely she knows she can Google them but I think she’s asking others what they do and do they work. Do you folllow the video you posted and if you do, are the results good?

WhatIfWhatIf · 13/09/2025 10:08

Yes, sorry, I think that was my point. There are so many different options and it's highly likely that some will be much better than others so I wondered if anyone had found anything that they would particularly recommend?

I used an Eva Fraser book. Been doing the face exercises for 17 years and I’m happy!

Yes, that's why I posted it! I tried to link another one but it wouldn't allow access, so I just stuck another one I'd saved from the same woman.

It really is trial and error. If you don't like the look of someone, or the sound in the background, or the video is too short or too long, then you won't want to do it. But even just remembering to do one routine every few months makes a difference to my face, I have found.

I also do a couple of basic Eva Fraser ones when I think of it.

The woman I linked has scores of videos on her YouTube page, it's all free. I use a variety of different ones from other women, depending on my mood.

Pretty well everyone demonstrating any form of face yoga online is cribbing from Eva Fraser's book anyway.

Thank you, will take a look.

I recently found Beauty and the Boutique website and if you search exercise in the search option they have some really good exercises. I'm 72 and was looking for something to help with my wrinkly neck and Deborah explains what causes this and now I know this and do the neck stretches (which up until now I thought you mustn't do as it would make it worse and stretch the skin) there is a small improvement already in a couple of weeks.
Also they are a really cheery bunch to follow each morning. And I feel a bit guilty as they're free.
