knee length socks for chunky calves

Hello

I need some good knee length socks but I have ham hock legs!
I'm a size 16 but short with chunky calves and any normal socks i buy really dig in just under my knee in an annoying position

Big Bloomer company no good - had them before as they are slightly too stretchy and therefore baggy

Anyone help?

I don’t know any brands but have a look in Tkmaxx, they always have a massive variety and I’ve got a few pairs of long songs from there.

Have a look at socks designed for dance and pole dancing- Rolling do some gorgeous socks that are sold in leg sizes, they tend towards over the knee but that makes them more comfortable. Pole Junkie stock a good range.

Although I hate the name Big Bloomers do good larger knee high socks. I had some opaque ones for under trousers and actually found them a bit big but worth a look.

Just curious why you want knee length socks?
(only asking because I have giant calves too and knee length socks look absolutely awful on me, the only ones I own are compression socks to wear to work).

I have ankle grazer wide legs and I need my socks to go up higher

Also following with interest but for me it's because I want to wear them under trousers or maxi skirts. Definitely not for the tops to be seen!

I would look for some meant for people with diabetes that don’t have an elastic cuff if you aren’t rocking the socks as a style thing, just to stop gapping between your shoes and trousers.

There are loads of bamboo ones on Amazon.

These ones slip down though unfortunately

I've got stocky legs and wear the knee high ones from Seasalt, they're a good fit and stay up well without leaving indents. I'm also diabetic and find the softhold ones useless at staying up.

I'm not a cattle farmer myself, but do calves even need socks these days?

You have to try a few but the ones I have got to do not slip at all. I think because they have a bit of compression.
