Winter sock recommendations

I'm in need of some toasty warm socks for my freezing cold feet. I need navy, dark green, burgundy and grey, plain rather than print. No hand washing required. For wearing with trainers and hi tops mostly, also some leather boots. Budget negotiable

Men’s socks are best IME

@KnickerlessParsons , I agree a lot of men's clothing is better quality, but aren't they way too big? Don't they get all bunched up at the toes? I'm size 5 in shoes and the smallest mens size is usually 6-8

These Pairs mohair socks are my favourite today socks and longer lasting than many wool socks.

Mountain warehouse socks are great they come in 3/5 packs i wear kids sizes i have lots of different colours.

I'm a Darn Tough woman, for the simple reason that my cousin donated me a pair, which I found warm and comfortable and several years later they remain the only woolly socks I've had that have lasted more than a few months without going into holes. Loads of choice when it comes to length, weight, colours etc. Sadly they are very expensive.

M&S Heatgen knee length are fab. I sometimes work in a warehouse with no heating. I bought a 2 pack of grey last year.

I like "falke cozy wool" socks. I machine wash but on 30 degrees and on a quick wash cycle. They come in lots of colours and are plain.

You want socks with wool in. Whether you get ordinary “shoe” socks or thick boot socks, you need a good chunk of wool content 40-80%. You need some polyester in there for durability.

Community Clothing sports socks are amazing. Wash so well and bomb proof. Nicest colour range is UNIQLO and they are lighter weight fabric than the CC ones

You need wool socks, so walking socks can be brilliant.

I work outside and wear heated socks all Winter. They’re lovely!! Other than that, I always buy men’s thinsulate clothing over the Winter.
