What are they?…

For me - Green and white polka dot wrap dress from Primark that cost £15 about 10 years ago, then my DD borrowed it for good and I got another one on Vinted for £8, would have paid anything for it, as good as new.

If chilly, grey v neck merino jumper from Uniqlo and ankle jeans from H&M.

I have a wardrobe full of clothes I adore from Jigsaw, Sezane, Levi’s jeans, M&S, Reiss, Hobbs, yet these three items under £80 total I could and do wear on repeat.

A couple of silk shirts bought from Equipment before Fenwicks closed. Bootcut FAM jeans. Either Adidas Sambas or R&B Flatform trainers.

So easy, so comfy. If I just had a few more shirts in different colours and a couple of more pairs of the same jeans, I think I'd really struggle to wear anything else. Ever.

Great question!
I've got a black oversized V-neck cashmere jumper that I bought from Tescos for £40 about 10 years ago - in Autumn Winter and Spring I wear it probably 3x pw. It's just so comfortable and versatile, cosy when it's cold but not too hot, not too bulky under jackets and still in good nick other than moth holes. I have been battling these and sewing them up for the last 5 years, but I can't chuck it out till I find a replacement. I wish I'd bought it in bulk. I don't think Tesco does wool jumpers anymore, let alone cashmere
Another favourite is a grey cotton big tshirt from Hush with an eagle on the front. It gets softer with each wear, and is very hippy. Probably 5 years old.
But I'm going through a period of hating most of my clothes, suddenly nothing seems to hang right. Need to lose weight, hopefully that will help.

I have an Arket wool jumper I'd wear every day if I could get away with it

I’ve a wardrobe full of beautiful dresses, blouses and skirts in a ‘big frock’ style that is hated with a passion by most mumsnetters but I absolutely love them.

Its wrong but I don’t want to ruin them by wearing them so 99% of the time I wear Toast ‘Annie’ jeans and a linen shirt or a plain T-shirt and a jumper.

An oversized caramel-coloured, crew neck sweater from...Primark! It's well-shaped and snuggly and cosy and perfect, suits my colouring and goes with pretty much every other casual item in my wardrobe. I wish I'd bought several because I could happily wear it every day of the cooler months.

A pair of grey combat maternity trousers, they are 25 years old. I have to wear tops long enough to cover the expanding bit. A thick sweatshirt boxy cut short sleeve top in white. A cropped cream jumper that has a subtle stipe going through it a Japanese designer but can’t remember name off top of my head a navy cashmere jumper, a sleeveless cream cable knit top with a roll neck and a black and white tweed jacket, the jacket is lovely and was from LK Bennett and must be 20 year old now. The skirt unfortunatley got a bit too tatty. A rather mad smock dress with cats printed all over the bottom by Yumi.

Ah, I can't imagine this! My wardrobe isn't oversized, but I wear it all and often feel I've made a new combination.

Basic ASOS plain boxy fit t-shirts
H&M wide leg cullottes
Adidas leopard print Sambas
H&M £10 printed tshirts

I have lots more, but these are easily the lowest cost per wear items in my wardrobe

I have that jumper too! It is nice, isnt it (recently bought the rust red version for £3 in the sale section!).
I dont have any reliable summer stuff but in winter I tend to live in Disturbia skater dresses, the t shirt/smock style ones. I have 5 in various colours and they are great for layering tops under then I wear with thick tights/leggings, chunky boots and big cardie. Just very cosy. comfy and covers my middle aged tummy beautifully!

A grey Alpaca sweater from Tk Maxx from Karen by Simonson. It has a high % of Alpaca in it but no wool . I'm allergic to wool and it's so hard to find a pure Alpaca mix anywhere. This is the lightest most comforting jumper that I wore constantly last winter.
Another jumper I wore non stop is a M&S Cashmere hoodie in beige. I bought it new off eBay a couple of years ago. It's very oversized & has a hole in it that I've stitched up badly. I've just pulled it out & it needs de-bobbling & is exceedingly crumpled. But it's perfect for the 13° temperature here today.
