Need a bag to take to an all day wedding, travelling on public transport

Going to a wedding in a few weeks which requires an 2h early train journey and a late 2h train home.

I have lots of chic bags that would be perfect with my dress- but my 10 month pp state means breast pump, breast pads and an assortment of sanitary products. And maybe a small cool bag for any milk if I pump it late enough. Not to mention my
local train station has dire coffee and snacks- so I’ll want to take my own train breakfast and cup. Howeber…even if I relent and have a costa toastie, my boob paraphernalia still needs to be lugged along and it just isn’t fitting in any clutch bag I have.

the wedding is an all day event at multiple locations with nowhere to leave ‘stuff’.I know from the bride that there will be lots of ‘candid’ photography so I don’t want to be the bag lady in her photos. Not to mention I have lost some baby weight, feel great and don’t want my outfit ‘spoiled’ either with a bag for life.

torn between just taking a discrete black tote bag that my husband could just carry for me + my usual occasion bag of choice, or looking for something new that would fit the fill if I ever have a day event like this again and need to carry more than my
phone and keys.

i have a few larger handbags but they just look clunky and wrong with my dress- it’s a silk bias cut cami dress.

does anyone have any ideas?

if it was a summer wedding a raffia beach bag could still be quite nice, but this is autumn black tie

I'd take all the stuff in a tote bag like you suggest, and then use your clutch bag for photos.

There will be somewhere to stick the tote bag so it's not in the pictures!

Could your husband have a messenger bag for bulky items? Something like this which is reduced and if you sign up you get an extra 10%, just sayin'...

He’ll be looking dapper in a tuxedo so equally won’t want to be a bag man!

Not sure how a nice bag detracts from his style, but ok...

Do you plan on carrying it around all day? I find it weird that you're trying to pair it with your outfits! Just put the bag down and smile in your dress and tuxedo!

That’s what the ushers at the church and the staff at the reception are there for!
Ask them to stash your luggage where you can find it again for the duration of the service and photos.
Surely you’ll have larger bags, too. You’re not going to be travelling by train in tuxedo (DH) and evening gown (female equivalent)…

i don’t think I’d be writing this post if we had larger bags!

we are indeed travelling in black tie. I will also be wearing a log flume rain poncho on the train in case of a snackident.

it’s weird that I’m trying to pair a bag with my dress for a wedding? This is style and beauty not AIBU.

I’m asking for any ideas for a larger dressy bag/clutch for all my bits!

It’s a nice workwear bag. He takes similar to the office. He doesn’t really want to lug a giant leather messenger bag as much as I want to take my work handbag.

Can’t decide if this is fun tacky or just tacky. Would definitely fit my pump and other bits. Wouldn’t get a coffee flask in there but oh well I’ll live

for a black slip dress

i have gold or silver shoes
