Posting here to see if I can be saved from velcro shoes and polyester slacks!

I've broken my wrist and need to find easy to put on and comfy clothes. I have other issues apart from putting my dominant arm out of use which has made finding suitable items very difficult.

I'm 5ft, 60's, sturdy build, size 10/12 with no breasts and a thick waist. Usually casually dress, like boat necks and usually wear birkenstock's of some type. I was looking for shoes that I don't have to fasten but that are still secure (loafers won't work) and a few pieces that i can mix and match for the next few months.

No buttons, zips or ties and nothing tight. Tried searching for elasticated waist items that I can just pull up but I don't think I'm looking in the right places or I'm being fussy. I can also look a bit like a toddler dressing up if there's too much material so lagenlook type pieces probably won't work.

Also my coats won't go over my arm so that's another issue and I can't drive so will need waterproof/warm outer layer.

All ideas welcome. Budget is flexible. I usually wear a mix of new and second hand clothes. The most money I've spent on one item is probably £130 on birkenstock boots. And my handbag is a rucksack.

All ideas gratefully received.
