Lialys Prestige Hairpins - are they as good as the ads say, and/or is there a cheaper dupe?

What the title says. As someone with fineish hair with layers which tends not to stay in any updo for long, I find the concept interesting, but it's a lot to pay without seeing them first. Anyone tried them - or found anything else that works well?

The only thing that holds my hair in an updo is lots of hairspray.

I thought it was worth trying them. They are smaller than I thought they would be, and not very effective in my experience. I do have quite a lot of hair though (only shoulder length but wavy and thick). They might do better with finer hair.

Thanks!

I really like them and find they stay in better than the more expensive Franchimon ones. For me, they work best on a messy bun or a half up/half down style.
