Alternative to cardigans

I'm after suggestions for an additional layer which is fairly lightweight and not as casual as a hoody, but not a coat or jacket. I have gone off cardigans in a big way. I have a lightweight, loose fitting linen jumper, but I'm looking for something else to ring the changes. I was looking for something like a cotton jumper that's not too bulky, maybe in an oatmeal colour as it's neutral, but I'm open to other suggestions.

Style wise I suit slash neck or scoop neck, better than crew necks. In terms of colour, pastels are okay (not green) and I'm a winter with naturally grey hair. I wear a lot of pinks and blues and suit both white and black, though I prefer navy to black. Help please!!

I like a jersey blazer, smart but comfortable!

As a winter I'm surprised that you suit oatmeal.

I have a lovely off white slash neck cotton jumper from Uniqlo.

Okay, thanks - that's the colour I said I fancied, neutral after all. Is the link to the correct item as that's a crew neck jumper?

@LivingDeadGirlUK I'd like to stay away from jackets - I'm short-waisted and find a lot of blazers just don't fit right and if the sleeves are full length I need to shorten them which is another hassle

Edited

I have a skinny neck so it looks quite wide on me.

Seasalt do slash neck jumpers.

I tend to use shawls/scarves/pashmina type things rather than a cardigan. Easy to keep in my bag and I can dress up or down with different patterns.
