Hairdryers

Good morning MNetters.

I hope you can advise. I need a new hairdryer. My hair is fine, short and straight so theres no need for an expensive Dyson. I've currently got an ETI turbo 2000 which I've had for years and which is falling apart.

But I'm not sure that I can justify spending £50 on a new one!

Any suggestions,

Thanks 🥰

I just got one of the Aldi ones. Ionic, 3 speed settings and 3 heat settings. Comes with a nozzle and a diffuser for £12.99.

I’m quite impressed with it and it’s easily as good as the £100 Remington I had before.

No way! Oh my! I haven't even considered Aldi
I wonder if they'll have it at my local Aldi?

I don't know if this helps as I'm not a hairdryer expert but I have Tresemmé hairdryer. It's lasted me decades. I must have got it when I started at uni 20 years ago and there's no sign of it giving up the ghost. I just looked it up and it's £15-£20 to buy now. It doesn't do anything fancy but it's got a good strong blow and always dries my hair nicely. It's not heavy or awkward to use like some hair dryers.

My daughter suggested this one to me, but I was a bit put off because a couple of reviews say it's very heavy. You don't think so?

Thank you. You don't happen to know which Tresemme , on the market now, is its equivalent, do you?

I don’t :) You have to accept it’s a full size dryer so it’s not as light as a travel size but no, it’s lighter than my previous one.

It is currently in stock in ours but it’s a special buy so won’t be for long!

Love my Parlux. Expensive, but over 10 years old now, been good value.
