Which style Levis jeans for short & curvy?

I want to treat myself to some Levi jeans. I already have a pair of bootcut jeans from there but they have a bit of stretch to them and I want something more 'rigid'.

I'm 5' 1", size 14 and used to be an hourglass before my c-section so now I'm an hourglass with a lower belly paunch that I can't seem to loose (hence wanting a less stretchy fabric that holds me in). High or mid waist and short leg length are a must.

If this sounds like you, what styles of Levis work well for you? I'm going to visit one of the central London stores and try a few pairs on but want to narrow it down to 3 - 5 styles to avoid getting overwhelmed.

I have a similar figure and recently bought some cropped 501s. I love them, they are high waisted and hold me in and the cropped ankle is really flattering too. I got them in a dark wash denim.

Not sure if it has to be Levis but my DD gets curve jeans from Abercrombie. Lots of different shapes.

Try ribcage straight ankle - although it does have 1% elastsne

Hourglass with c-section shelf here. Size 12-14. I have Levi’s- ribcage ankle straight, ribcage bell and 501s. Sizes range from 28-31 so defo don’t buy without trying!

I also love Abercrombie curve love. Have 90s relaxed, mid rise barrel (more a high rise tbh because I’ve got a short body) and some wide legs. I find H&M 100% cotton jeans work well too (unexpectedly).

Thanks for this thread op as i’m the same as you and I was considering treating myself to some levis. I also prefer rigid jeans as I find stretch ones just slip down and I had wearing belts.

Are the staff in Levi stores actually helpful with finding the right jeans for customers?

Great thread! I’m currently losing weight and one of my goals is a pair of Levi’s!

Femalefootyfan · 02/09/2025 17:00

I’m not an hourglass but I’m only 5 feet tall, I recently purchased some 501’s that are cropped and they sit perfectly at my ankles, would cropped length work for you?

fabricstash · 02/09/2025 17:04

I finally moved away from Levi’s because the women’s jeans all had stretch and they removed the proper front pockets. I Moved to carhartt and they are soooo much better

Thanks for the recommendations.
I went to the levis store in covent garden today and chose cropped 501's in 26 length, 30 waist.
I tried on the 32 & 31 waist first and finally settled on 30 waist, which holds me in but is still easy to get on.
There's a 25% sale online until the end of today (but not instore) so the sales assistant helpfully suggested I purchase online and they have free delivery.

I find the staff to be extremely helpful, and that’s across several branches that I’ve visited in different parts of the country. If you have a rough idea what style you want or no idea whatsoever it doesn’t matter the staff really do know their products and seem to know what will suit you. First time I bought jeans in there they didn’t have the leg length I needed and the assistant said come back in half an hour and we will have turned them up for you, I hadn’t noticed the big sewing machine in the middle of the store.
