Height insoles

Has anyone used height insoles? A woman at work uses them. No idea why because she could just wear heels. She is Chinese and has always been short but now looks taller and she told me whshe sats she has flat feet so cant wear heels.

With each of my pregnancies my feet got wider and wider to the point that I now use size 6 shoes, when up until having children I was a 4. To compensate for the floating aspect of my heel I sometimes wear an insole that's flat at the front, where my toes need room to splay, and has a bit of a wedge on the heel. This seems to compensate things nicely inside my shoe and I feel it gives me a tiny bit of extra height which I welcome as I am short.

I can't link to the exact same one as I bought several in Switzerland a while ago.

So the front of the insole is flat, but the heel area is wedged and gives me a lift. That's all really. That's my experience.
