How long do waxing results last?

I’ve literally never had a wax, other than using wax strips myself on my eyebrows and upper lip. I’m about to go on a holiday of a lifetime for 2 weeks and can’t be bothered shaving. It would be nice to think I don’t have to worry about being hair for 2 weeks.

If I had a wax - underarms, bikini and legs - how long would the results usually last? I don’t want my expectations to be unrealistic Grin

I have pcos. When I shave I get prickly stubble about 3 hours later. Waxing lasts about 4 days unfortunately. It also gives me a horrible rash which takes about 2 days to die down too so it's just not worth it!

I can't be sure how long it lasts for a newbie as I've had my legs waxed since 1993...!

But it's a lot longer than shaving... And less stubbly as the hair is growing from scratch (almost) so it's tapered unlike shaved hair which has a blunt end.

I'm fair so my regrowth isn't really visible for awhile. Likely different if you're dark.

Oh yes, you will look like a plucked chicken for about 24hrs 😆(I dont get that anymore.)

Avoid baths and sunbathing for 24hrs. Your skin will feel amazingly soft when it's recovered, as the wax takes all the dry skin with it.

Which reminds me, moisturise regularly on the days leading up to a wax, if you don't already.

Mine are good for about 2 weeks post wax. Around 3 it starts to come back patchy and then there's the annoying week where they are kind of hairy but not long enough to wax again. I do mine myself!

But it's a lot longer than shaving

Not in my case. I also get ingrown hairs from waxing and epilating in spite of exfoliating, so I went back to the razor.
