ColourB4 orange help!

I dyed my virgin hair black. I thought it would fade but it hasn't so I used ColourB4 today. As expected it has gone orange. Bright orange! I've used ColourB4 many times and it has never gone this orange before. It's tangerine! It was on virgin hair so just one lot of dye.

It is quite funny but I have an interview on Monday and orange hair just aint the right vibe! 🤣

Help?! 🤣

No money for a hairdressers. My natural colour is a dirty ashy dark blonde. If possible Id like to get as close to natural as possible. I dont understand the numbers on box dyes and I know my hair will be extra porous.

Thank you from me and my interviewers!

I think you can get some purple shampoo thing that takes out the warm tones? That might help with the orange! It’s happened to me before and I think I just dyed it again but my hair is dark brown.

The black dye has bleached your hair.

I have done this a few times, I dyed over it with a semi permanent in a light brown shade (knowing it would go darker because as you say your hair is extra porous) all worked out fine

one of my friends reduced the red on her hair by smoking it in tomato ketchup and wrapping cling film around her head.

I agree with @CurlsLDNthough that you should dye it a light ash brown. Ash mind! Not golden!

Ketchup is supposed to knock out green tones not red. Don’t try ketchup!

You could bleach it and then put an ash blonde dye over that?
