Mum @ Graduation…

I need an outfit for my DD’s graduation. I’m going around the bend as I have no idea what people wear for this sort of thing. I’m 5’5’’, winter colours suit me, size 10. I don’t want anything too short as I have dreadful varicose veins around my knees. I need something that can be layered as it may be chilly. Help!

Not sure what your budget is but I wore a Wyes dress at my DC graduation in the summer and felt 'appropriate'.
They have some lovely Autumn/ Winter dresses usually so you may find something there.

I wore an above the knee silky khaki dress, plain not patterned, had a little jacket in case it got cold (it did late at night after we’d had dinner) and black heeled boots.
Smart but me.
Lots of mums in beautiful bright florals but it’s not my style at all. I just wore a nice dress!

At DS graduation a few years ago in London the parents wore anything and everything.
Some very casual, some like they were going to a wedding.
I wouldn’t worry about buying something new unless you want to - nobody really took much notice of each other.
i just wore a black dress I already had with some heels and a scarf to brighten it up.

Midi dress, plain dark coloured blazer matching handbag. Possibly ankle heeled boots. Enjoy

Rixo is good for dresses then just plain coloured shoes, jacket, bag. You will keep the photos up for ages I hope so spurge on the dress. Enjoy OP. Proud moment.
