Hey, does anyone know if these are true to size, or whether I should order up or down? Have fallen in love with a gorgeous pair, but they don’t have my size ☹️

They run small and narrow, and also just to warn you, they are not very comfortable....they have basically no padding in the sole and forget about any arch support. Think old school plimsolls!

One of my Japanese colleagues told me they are the same shoes that he and his friends wore to PE at school in the 1970s and he's completely bemused that they've become a fashion statement.

I find them comfortable, and I have wide feet. But I had to size up a full size.

I sized up half a size in my Mexico 66s recently. I could have worn my actual size but my toes felt slightly better in the half size up. My feet are on the wider end of average but I don’t have to buy wide fit shoes.
There is a foot measuring guide somewhere on their website.

Thanks. Now wondering whether £120 for plimsoles is the best way to spend my hard earned!

They're lovely but I do size up in Mexico 66 too.
They are quite narrow - I can wear the laces ones but the elastic ones can be too tight for my ~paddles~ feet.

hinterkitten · 26/08/2025 13:32

I have three pairs and found them true to size. My feet are on the narrow side. I wore one of my Mexico 66 ones all day on holiday recently with over 20K steps and they were still perfectly comfortable by the end of the day. I have another pair that has more of a sole- it reminds me of one of those lightweight Sketchers type of trainer soles. I don’t find them as comfortable as my 66s.

Mercurial123 · 26/08/2025 15:24

I take my usual size in Mexico 66.

You have to share which ones so we can help you make that assessment

Size up.

User37482 · 26/08/2025 16:45

I think the UK size is wrong, I use the EU size, I’m a 39 but when I ordered by UK size they were too big. Size down lol

These

I have the white ones of these, I went by EU size 39, a uk 6 is usually 39-39.5 but if you look on their website it has a uk siz 6 as an EU 40. Wear thick socks to break them in around the house and then they are amazing.

Thebigonesgetaway · 26/08/2025 16:53

I have two pairs and I love them, must be the comfiest trainers I have ever owned. I could walk for miles on them. I find them true to size but narrow, I have narrow feet so they work for me. They are also gorgeous. I have the white 66’s with a sort of pale grey /pink suede toe cap and cream ones, with sage green side stripe. I’ve not tried the slip ons. But I bought the first pair last year, and the. Two weeks later the second pair, and it’s pretty much what I wear most of the time now.

Mine definitely didn’t need breaking in the leather is so soft I can’t imagine that.

I do have some and they feel very roomy - i do agree that no breaking in is needed as they are very comfy
