I think Kate looks fine for her day to day activities, though I don't like some of the sludgy colours she's favoured recently.

And I know she's the PoW now but it would be nice to see her have a bit more fun with her clothes like she did when she was DoC.

Recent events have probably meant that's the last thing on her mind, plus Natasha A just left. It'll be interesting to see who she hires going forwards.

Cassiope · 22/09/2025 12:26

@Sidebeforeself I'll vote for an evening jumpsuit too, but sleeveless rather than one shouldered! I'm not averse to asymmetry, but not when it looks as if someone just chopped a sleeve or shoulder strap off!

Not just a tiara, can we have all the bling please.

Cassiope · 22/09/2025 14:52

To be clear, my comment about Kate was purely in relation to her lack of an eye for prints - on re-reading I see I could have been clearer. I was simply trying to draw a contrast with Sophie.

deeahgwitch · 22/09/2025 15:33

I’m with you @Cassiopere Marie’s blue dress. With regard to Sophie’s green print dress, I think it was too long and the shoes were a bit frumpy.

SqueakyDinosaur · 22/09/2025 18:29

I want to see either Kate or Camilla wear the Vladimir tiara. I don't care which variation (pearls/emeralds/naked) - it's just such an extraordinarily beautiful piece that it needs to be worn.

Papergirl1968 · 22/09/2025 20:22

Sophie and Edward in Japan. I like the dress but I itch to adjust the belt buckle so it lines up with the row of buttons.

True about Sophie's dress, that irritates me, too
I like the colour, but not the fit. Note: she's in espadrilles! Very divisive.
Edward. That suit: no.

I like what the Japanese have done with that phone box.

KiIIingMeDeftly · 22/09/2025 20:40

Whatever it is, it's nicer than what most phone boxes are used for these days!

Quite! Although I do notice that round our way they're used for Defibrillators.

Charlene in Elie Saab for a charity golf tournament.

That seems to be the classic Windsor pose.
I covered a visit by Prince Andrew to a factory 25 or 30 years ago and he was slimmer and more attractive than he appeared in the media, and more down to earth. Until he put his arms behind his back like that and wished the workers a “jolly good Christmas” in a frightfully posh accent. 🙄

Maireas · 22/09/2025 21:21

Looks a little bit matrimonial, but she looks elegant and I really like her hair. Albert had been looking a bit sharper of late, but he's back to the blazer and white trousers, which I'm going to say, don't look a great fit.

I agree about the Butterworth pattern look. Some dresses look a bit too dressmaking class....set in sleeves, ruched frills etc.

Max looks good in a blue MaxMara trouser suit, Amalia's is either navy or black. Both look business smart and very engaged. I think Max is looking very fresh here, and it's good to see Amalia doing engagements with her Mum. Learning the ropes.

I think Amelia is going to be the standout style icon of the next generation of royals. She looks better and better all the time and has the figure and face to make some bold choices.

Both Sophie and Edward seem to wear nice enough clothes that are simply too big for them. They need my sister in their lives (since I was a slim 18 year old she has been telling me to stay away from tents). Or a very good tailor for both of them. I often like Sophie's dresses but if they were tailored for her they would look much better - she has a nice figure.

Also shoes are not her strong suit - like most of the royals (Camilla excepted). I wish Meghan had stayed around long enough to stage a shoe intervention in the royal family. Maybe Beatrice could do it.

Albert looks like he’s just come out of the local bowls club 🙄😆

Very elegant, the Elie Saab dress is gorgeous. I love her earrings and hair.

She looks amazing, that dress is sublime on her.

Chewbecca · 23/09/2025 09:09

I agree Megs does good shoes BUT they mostly don't look comfortable or walkable so if I had to swap shoes with her or Sophie, I would have to choose Sophie. Comfort is key!
