Interesting. I've read it twice and am unclear what exactly she's suing for.

CharlotteRumpling · 22/08/2025 22:18

She doesn't come out of it well either. She spent £71 million on him?
How the other half live!

IHaveAlwaysLivedintheCastle · 22/08/2025 23:29

I agree. She doesn't come out of it well either.

hangerup · 22/08/2025 23:48

Wowsers would not have expected this.

Some this don't add up though, she really did it know he used drugs?

And she spent 71m because he was going to repay her? 🤔

hangerup · 22/08/2025 23:49

Surely if she's cash strapped she could sell some properties. Sounds like he's fucked off & she is pissed.

The Daily Mail has a bit more information

Natalie Massenet
And this comment is the short version
He's such a freeloader. Whenever she was invited to a fashion party, and couldn't go, his 'assistant' would RSVP for him, even though she was the one invited and the big pull. No-one was interested in him without her. She did allow him to take advantage, though, and her role at the British Fashion Council was one big plug for Net-a-Porter, plus she literally enabled him as a hustler, as exemplified by the Beckhams text, compromising herself in the process. He's just a creepy social climber hankering for the limelight. He kind of had it written all over him, so I'm not surprised she now finds herself in this position.

Any sympathy I might have for her melts away due to her having dragged their son Jet into this. I strongly disapprove of surrogacy but as she went down that route whinging in public about being forced into it and being left "cash strapped" because of the existence of the child is appalling behaviour.

Insiders on Net-a-Porter founder Dame Natalie Massenet's lawsuit

Fifteen years ago, and three days after making £50million from the sale of a stake in Net-a-Porter, the luxury fashion platform she created, Natalie Massenet (pictured) sat down with Vogue magazine.

Will dive into gutter press link …

I don’t really have all that much sympathy for her. She was happy to show off her extensive wealth and their jet set lifestyle on instagram and it certainly didn’t appear that her hand was forced.

He sounds awful and she sounds naive and maybe entitled to a financial payoff but she looked like she revelled in that lifestyle.

Faineante · 23/08/2025 12:40

Good lord - so much money spaffed away on nothing.

But I hope she has evidence of contracts breached, because I don’t see anything in that garbled report that supports a claim. Imagine if every MN poster pursued an ex for ‘emotional distress’! Barristers would burn down courts and judges would take to the streets in despair.

Awful doings though.
