I’m a 34 K\L cup and petite. I find the straps in the middle come up too high and dig into me, or the sides come up too far.

currently have a bra but it doesn’t lay flat between my boobs.

im too big for bravissimo:

By petite I mean small, 5”1

What size is the bra you have where the gore isn’t sitting flat? That indicates it’s too small somewhere but I think you know that!
I’m afraid if you’re an L plus you’re probably into mega money territory, but the place to go would be https://www.ewa-michalak.eu

Ewa-Michalak.pl

EFFUNIAK Ewa Michalak lingerie store offers bras in all sizes. Cups from AA to KK!

Try BellaRose lingerie on Instagram, she does fitting online or from photo, lots of Polish bras and up to LL I believe.

You’re not too big for bravissimo! I’m a 34KK and this is my most comfy one

They are too small or don’t fit right.

You’re possibly bigger than an L then..
the one I linked to I would say comes up larger for bravissimo sizing (I used to wear Elomi)
I always found bravissimo small or didn’t fit right but that one has been a game changer for me

I can already tell that that bra is too high on the side.

yea bravissimo would always fit me and the rib cage would be so tight, it was awful.

What do you mean by the straps in the middle come up too high.

Not sitting flat at the front means the band is too big, not too small.

You're not too big for Bravissimo. I bought the same size there yesterday.

xSideshowAuntSallyXx · 22/08/2025 06:47

Try a balconette. Full cups are much higher at the front. I've never found them comfortable.

You can get L cups at Bravissimo. They even do a plunge bra in an L cup.

Not every bra suits everyone so it can be a bit of a slog finding one that suits you.

They don’t fit at bravissimo. They run small

the straps in the middle come up to high: imagine the straps that meet between come up two or three more inches, it’s uncomfortable right

Sorry wires not straps, silly me

Oh right no wonder I had no idea what you meant. Again, I wonder if you need a smaller back size?

Telemichus · 23/08/2025 14:26

Ravissimo do have quite tight bands, I also have ummm tango panache in 32 and 34 kk and those bands are a bit stretchier and not as tight. Don’t get totally fixated on one size, I often need to go up and down a bit cup & band by manufacturer.
I do find the bravissimo shoulder straps are quite long for me, but I just live with it lol.
if you are feeling a bit spendier you could get rigby & peller to make you one

Thanks. I go to bravissimo with an open mind and they always measure me and don’t believe me when I say I need a bigger cup size and I’m always sized out.

I will look into getting one made. Just wish I could get bras altered on site

OP posts:
LivingDeadGirlUK · 23/08/2025 15:47

You could try going up a band size, not everyone finds the super tight BOB measuring method comfortable. Bra sizes are a measure of volume, so if you increase your band size by one and drop the cup size by one you are catering for the same volume of boob but the cups won't come as far around to your armpits, you say in your OP they come too far up the sides so this could help.

I was a 40KK until very recently so I have a lot of experience of this. Bravissimo don't come up especially small - their own brand bras are comparable to Panache, Elomi, Fantasie etc. The only brand I find to run particularly small in Bravissimo is Curvy Kate. I think it's more likely that you are in fact bigger than an L.

I second the recommendation above for Bella Rosa Lingerie (www.bellarosalingerie.co.uk). If you're in Kent she will come to your house for a mobile fitting, but if not she can do remote fitting over Zoom and she goes up to an M cup. You are likely going to need to look at the Polish brands - Ewa Michalak, Ambels, maybe Gorsenia.

currently have a bra but it doesn’t lay flat between my boobs.

Isn't this shape though? I have never had a bar lie flat between my boobs as they are very close together

Usually if the gore doesn't lie flat it's an indication that the cups are too small, even on very close-set breasts. A plunge shape with a shorter gore can help.
