Looking for inspiration

Hi All .. long time lurker on this forum and I have gotten a lot of inspiration from previous threads and now I'm looking for help. I have a wedding in October and have bought this dress but at a loss on what colours to accessorize with (bag & shoes) .. any ideas???

Love that. I would not detract from the gorgeous colour and style. Maybe large gold earrings and gold bracelet but nothing fancy. I like the shoes they have in the photo.

Absolutely not.

Small stud earrings, silver, pearl or gold. Bracelet only if it's one you always wear and it's not clunky.

The shoes the model is wearing are fine, although personally I'd wear lower heels than that.

I'd wear something like these or maybe in green, red or pink.

So far as a bag, bags don't interest me and at weddings etc as they spend most of their time under the table, it's not something I'd give thought to, so any small bag, any colour- black patent, or red or pink leather or navy leather

I've typically very pale Irish skin - might get a light spray tan to remove the blue hues and blonde hair in a short bob!

I wonder if pink might not be too candy floss for October? I agree you wouldn’t want anything that distracts from the quite magnificent dress (thank you for bringing the designer to my attention!) so maybe a dark plum or similar?

You know, I considered those last night … and decided that S&B would crucify them! (Was also thinking that come October I would very much want to add socks to them …)

Love the idea of burgundy shoes. I agree with other posters about gold jewellery - I think a teardrop earring in gold like this would look nice. And a simple solid bangle.

These are nice but I think too much with that (fabulous) dress—the buckles and patent finish will pull focus. Also not sure about burgundy. I love burgundy, but not with that shade of blue (unless jeans).

Agreed. You don't want anything to detract from the dress. Those shoes have too much going on and the heel is a bit clompy.

Silver would be better than gold jewellery.

Big gold earrings with the collar and bow on that dress would be far too fussy. Silver would look much better than gold. The dress is great on its own. It doesn't need any more dressing up.

I think more polite to simply say what you think (in your own opinion) would look nice. We don't need to contradict others who may have a differing opinion so bluntly. There are no rules in fashion, after all.

Much nicer to be on Style and Beauty threads without the aggressive approach of the Politics threads. I'm sure you agree.

Why on earth shouldn’t posters contradict each other? Are women who care about clothes such delicate flowers?
