Vinted multiple sellers no reviews

I'm trying to buy a pair of Adidas spezials, specifically brown, in new condition, I will say about 95% of people selling these are brand new sellers with no reviews and no other items. Also always being sold for £50/55. Is this a very well known scam that I just haven't heard about?
It seems the legit sellers generally are selling them for a bit more, but I've only found a handful compared to probably 50 sellers with no reviews 🤔

If its a popular item and its selling for cheaper than sellers with reviews steer well clear! Although as a buyer youre protected as a seller, it'll definitely be more hassle and admin than its worth to sort out when it invariably turns out that you wont be getting the item you want. As the old saying goes, if it seems too good to be true...

These will be fakes from Hakuu or whatever that dodgy site is called.
they will buy them for around £15 to £20 and then sell them for a huge profit i would steer clear

LavenderBlue19 · 17/08/2025 07:22

I would assume they're fake. Or a scam. Definitely wait and hope for a genuine seller with plenty of reviews.

Ok that makes sense, I didn't realise there were that many good fakes! Will go for a trusted seller or just buy brand new if I can't 👍🏻 thanks all!

Yes I bought vejas last year at a ridiculously low price from a no-review seller. No item appeared and got my money back, left a bad review and reported seller. The same photo appeared immediately from a new seller... It's weird, as if there's no item sent then they never get the money. So maybe they just enjoy wasting people's time??

Maybe there's people out there who never bother reporting or forget to do it in the window 🤷🏻‍♀️
