Just bought this off Vinted for upcoming do. I am not sure it does me any favours. Really wanted to like it 😭 I need a dress asap!

Hi OP, it's the fishtail hem at the bottom which is making it awkward on you.

I would go for a skirt that doesn't have any hem or drop waist so that it skims all the way down from your waist with no break.

Beautiful isn’t it! Club L is my go to for formal and wedding guess dresses. It’s always amazing quality too.

Thanks, I must remember to throw out all my other clothes that say otherwise and buy size 14 in everything based on one photo of a dress that is clearly very unflattering on my body shape. I have several pairs of size 6 jeans too - they must be pretending to be twice the size 🫣

I have put the pink dress back on Vinted and ordered some of the suggestions plus some off asos in a range of different styles so will update ☺️ Thankyou everyone

You have two choices, OP. You can believe the people who are trying to tell you the truth or you can look bigger than you are by squeezing into something too small.
You have a good shape and wearing the right sized clothes will show that off.
Just because you are an 8 in something vanity sized doesn't mean you will be 8s in other sizes.

Omg I love this. You look stunning. It is a lot of lemon and there is quite a lot going on I'm the second half. I'd say either go full whack with bright pink shoes and bag, as pink and yellow are the colours of youth 💛 Or tone it back with cream/white/orange as they are more similar to the yellow so classier

Have you considered a patterned/print type fabric. I was at a wedding last week and the posh end of the guests were all in prints. Also there were several lovely jump suits sort of fit and flare shape rather than having a defined waist.
