Graduation outfit ideas

Hi

i I have my graduation in October from the open university, it’s a navy gown with light blue and yellow hood. I have no idea what to wear with it?

I’ve got block heeled black shoes I intending on wearing as they have a fairly low heel so would be good for walking in but to wear with them? I’m 37, fair skin and blonde hair size 14 and 5’6 if that helps! I consider myself quite stylish and so would like something that fits this but don’t know where to start!

Oooohh! Just get something lovely you feel good in. Dont worry about it matching your robe. If you feel lovely that will shine through.
Ive been to three graduations, many dresses didn’t’match’ . It really doesn’t matter.

For my MA graduation I wore a broderie anglaise blouse from here (with a black and white tweed Margiela skirt).

Wonderfully well made top - still looks like new. Anyway, their sale is still on. (If it were me I’d probably snap up the cream and yellow jacket and skirt, which would look great with black shoes …)

But you didn’t give a budget so no idea how much you actually want to spend.

yes I should have said a budget definitely on the cheaper side as it’s cost me a fortune already for the tickets and gown hire and still photography to pay for!
