Hello- I am going to a Grease the movie inspired party and need an outfit! I’m a chubby Middle Aged lady and think I’ll be too hot in a pink ladies cheap shiny jacket! Please help ….

Rizzo is the coolest character in Grease. Wear a pair of black capri pants, a black blouse, dark glasses and red lipstick.

I think I’d look more like I’m going to work as wouldn’t be a short blouse or too tight trousers!!

My DD did this for fancy dress at school. We had a hire shop with 50s style prom dresses, and we accessorised with shoes and a headband.

Agree with PP that Rizzo is the best character in Grease.

You could pick a specific scene eg the sleepover at Frenchy’s house and go with a nightie, a cheap kimono dressing gown and put a couple of rollers in your hair.

Or a khaki jumpsuit and baseball cap like Mrs Murdoch, the car workshop teacher.

Or wear your normal jeans, add a black tshirt, sunglasses and leather jacket and become an honorary T-Bird!
