Gorgeous long lasting lipstick?

Nugg · 07/08/2025 19:44

I don’t wear lipstick often, fact, usually only if I get a beauty box and there is one in it that is a shade I like.

I would love a lovely corally pink or orange colour. Doesn’t matter how much it costs. I need it to be long lasting and not be matte as they just turn into lipstick crumble in minutes, I have no idea what I do!! I’d like a liner too!

can anyone recommend one please?

Sisley Le Phyto rouge Rose Shanghai.

SunflowerLife · 07/08/2025 20:02

Anything in the Maybelline Superstay range. I think the one I've got is Matte Ink. You might need a top up or two throughout the day but it won't disappear as soon as you drink anything.

Agree with Sunflower, maybelline is fab!

Revolution pro also do something, I can’t remember the actual name of the product, but it’s double ended with a balm and a gloss the other end. Not too expensive either

Sisley Le Phyto rouge Rose Shanghai.

I bought this, on sale, from allbeauty.com It's the perfect colour with my dress for an upcoming wedding. Goes great with a tan!

Hourglass Lotus is my go to

IDontHateRainbows · 07/08/2025 22:44

I usually struggle with liners as they are too harsh and drying but the new lipglazer liners from MAC are amazing, like if a lip liner and lipgloss were combined.
I use a lip stain lip liner and gloss to have something that may stay past the first cup of tea.

Huda lip liners are excellent, Vivid Pink is my go to, it’s not vivid pink at all! Waterproof and so soft. For lipsticks I love Ultraglow Lipstains in shade Blossom

I've seen those new lip stains advertised by Wonderskin they have a few Coral shades. It's like a stain that you apply and leave on for 30seconds and then peel off. Meant to last all day (but not totally sure if they actually do.) The colours look lovely I don't normally wear a lipstick either but these look fab.

I was thinking of buying this and wondered if it works. Has anyone tried it?

RosesAndHellebores · 10/08/2025 20:35

I rate Lancome and Estee lipsticks and they both have good non matt colours.

AlertCat · 10/08/2025 20:38

For the very first time I have bought a repeat lipstick (I’m 47 😂). It’s a Jolie Rouge by Clarins and the shade I like is Soft Berry, but it’s so soft and comfortable that I don’t feel like I’m wearing lipstick at all. (the colour is essentially my lip colour, too.)

Otherwise, Rimmel lipsticks are pretty wearable as well. And who makes Heather Shimmer? That’s a lot easier than when I was 15 now, too!

PineconesandConkers · 10/08/2025 20:41

Rare Beauty lip oil. Not a lipstick, but lasts really well and hydrating. 'Joy' is a coral colour.

There was a spam post with a link attached. I reported the same poster spamming another thread.

Looks like MN have made the posts completely disappear rather than show them as deleted.

Agree.

I agree with a pp - I don't know if they do coral, but the Lisa Eldridge lipsticks are lovely.

(and I'm also wondering about the Wonderskin lipstains).

Nugg · 13/08/2025 06:20

I tried the wonder skin things awhile back and gave them away. They were not for me.

Thank you I will look at Lisa Eldridge. Even the Super Stay one wore off, I looked like I’d just got lip liner on after about 10 minutes although it stayed on the back of my hand for a 36 hours🤣🤣
Maybe I’ve got bionic lips and I’m just gonna have to keep reapplying🤦🏼‍♀️

I’m with you @Nugg . I too look. Like I have lipliner on after a short while. It’s why I follow these threads. I have the Lisa Eldridge ones, they’re slightly better but very matte, not so good on my ‘more mature’ aka older lines mouth. They don’t need a lipliner though and don’t bleed into the lines, I just find the Matt a bit solid looking for my tastes
