It’s too late for this weekend but what is a nice hot weather top with jeans today?

Packing for a long weekend in Paris, leaving tomorrow. It’s going to be hot and I have lovely dresses to wear in the day and evening. My style is Reiss / Whistles / Sezane type, feminine but not over frilly.

I would like to travel out in wide leg jeans though for practicality and realised that I have nothing that feels write to put on top. Long sleeve blouses will be too hot, cotton shirt do not suit me, so I have none. I have a few vests and camis, so will be doing a Die Hard with a sweatshirt to hand for air conditioning. But I definitely have a hot weather tops gap. What would be be a nice modern style - still classic white t-shirts or something else?

Basic tshirts in a variety of colours. Temu do packs of 3 tshirts in different colours. Vest tops were my go to in my younger/thinner days.

Yet you haven’t mentioned the H&M recommendation upthread (who also use sweatshops) and I bet you don’t call out the endless Zara links or multiple Adidas trainers that everyone seems to have to have (both of those also use sweatshops).

Its so easy and lazy to pick on SHEIN and Temu; maybe do a little more research into the “MN favourite” brands.

I’ve got a lovely top from ASOS, I’ve had so many compliments on it, I wear it with my wide leg jeans and wider longer leg denim shorts too. I’ve also been wearing a linen waistcoat and a shortish smock top.
