Albert’s schools dress code (Manchester) for big birthday- what to wear?

Have been invited to a 50th at Albert’s Schloss in Manchester. There will be some people there who I haven’t seen in 10+ years, including an ex of mine, and I really want to dress as if a) I fit in but also b) look completely fabulous and like I’ve made it in life 😂😂. Tried looking at the website but it just says no sports gear/nothing too casual- but I know from previous experience that people tend to dress up more in Manchester than in London which is where I’m more familiar with going out.

I’m short, 5’2, soft gamine for those that follow Kibbe, and true summer colouring. Problem areas are mainly hips and butt, don’t mind showing shoulders/arms/legs but don’t like anything low cut due to very short torso! Will be in Autumn so probably won’t be too cold (but will be inside anyway and happy to take jacket etc). Mid range budget but flexible for the right outfit - usually shop in Sézane which works for my petite frame but also shop at the Outnet, Cos, Lipsy from next for petites, Whistles petite etc. I don’t necessarily need a petite range but it does often work better! I follow ExtraPetite and style by Claire Lopez on insta to give you an idea of what I tend to go for!

Please can you stylish people help me with ideas on dress code and specific suggestions on what I could wear to fit in and also stand out? I’d be really grateful.

I’d say anything really goes, I love Albert Schloss much to my daughters disgust, gutted she no longer lives there 😩 If it’s afternoon quite casual but evening the youngsters are really dressed up

Ah thank you. When you say really dressed up, do you mean mini dresses and heels, or more of a jumpsuit/midi dress or jeans-and-a-nice-top type vibe? Out to partyparty or out for a nice-dinner-and-drinks? If that makes sense 😂

I absolutely LOVE Albert's Schloss, I'd say black trousers and a sparkly top kind of vibes, but could also get away with jeans, or a dress, 'party casual' if you will!

Ok perfect! Thank you- that’s helped clarify the level of dressed-upness which I was worried about. On the hunt now for something that could work - any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
