Have you had laser treatment for facial thread veins? Did it work and what kind was it? And cost?

Interested in getting rid of thread veins around my nose. I also have redness on my chin.

Experiences of laser treatment would be really welcome. What type was it, did it work/last and how much was it? Names of London practitioners would also be great if they're allowed to be posted.

I have details of a consultant dermatologist who offers it privately - I saw him for skin cancer removal years ago - but although he would be a trustworthy pair of hands it would cost a squillion pounds.

Yes, I’ve had it done repeatedly over the last 6 years or so. I have translucent skin and spend a lot of outdoors in all weathers. I get my whole face done apart from forehead. Practitioner uses a slightly different laser for the larger individual broken veins then another one to go all over my cheeks to zap the tiny broken capillaries. It’s £120 a session and I usually get 2/3 sessions each year/18 months. Not in London.
You can also get IPL but it tends to not have such a good result.
It’s only a bit stingy around the nostrils. Otherwise it’s just a sharp tingly sensation. Slight redness afterwards but disappears in a couple of hours.
Hope this helps.

Yes and it’s very effective. I did a lot of research, and found a well regarded practitioner who was employed in the private clinic of a very well known and highly skilled plastic surgeon. I thought that if she was actually employed by and paid him, it would be better than going to a beauty salon type place. I may be wrong, but I’m thrilled with my results. Most of the big red veins vanished at once, one or two needed repeat sessions. I would really recommend it.

I’ve had Advanced Electrolysis for thread veins on cheeks, nose and chin area.

Very effective, made a huge difference to the look/quality of my skin. Had 4 treatments over a period of 9 months initially as they were very pronounced and I have very pale, sensitive skin. Only need maintenance sessions 1 or 2 per year now.
Also helped with pigmentation marks on my cheeks.

Stings a little at the time and areas were red for a while afterwards (I expected that as I have incredibly sensitive and pale skin so every mark/blemish shows and takes longer to heal than most people).

Cost £50 per session in North Yorkshire.
