M&S - why can’t I find things on their website?

There is a M&S store near my work so I sometimes pop in the way home. In recent weeks I have spotted a couple of things I liked, but there is never any hope of me finding anything in my size (small sizes get snapped up immediately).

so I have spent literally hours trying to find these items on the website - with no luck!

This has actually happened to me before. Has anyone had this experience? I am starting to think it’s a combination of factors - one, that the website is really bad, and two, that some items don’t actually appear on the website.

Has anyone else had this experience?

The website is terrible at the moment. There are things on there when I look at new arrivals that either show as no stock online, or they are in stock, but the next day are suddenly out of stock in every size/colour and then are no longer available a couple of days later. I've been trying to buy a bikini and there are never both halves in stock, even supposedly new stock.
I wondered if they removed some items from sale online because there is a sale on instore, and they can't sell reduced items at full price on the website.

Also, they must have lost so much revenue, not only because of rubbish stock levels, but by removing click and collect and then charging for delivery.

Yes, your are right about new things appearing to be out of stock! I mean, I know that some things may be popular but it just doesn’t seem realistic that something would be out of stock the minute it appears!

it’s really annoying and frustrating.

If you get the M&S app you can scan the bar code on the garment tag in the shop to see if it's online.

I'm sure they can check if its on line and order it for you, if you're already in the shop?

Yes , I bought a dress for DD , usually I'd do C&C but it wasn't available .

Ordered on the Sunday , delivery was meant to be the Fri but arrived Tuesday .
