Marks refund then rebuy?

I bought some bits in marks today came to £40. I then realised on the way home I had a gift card that I should have used instead. Would I be able to go to a store, get a refund on my debit card then rebuy the items at the same time on a gift card? One of the items was in a sale and won't be able to find it again if they end up putting back on the shop floor.

I don’t see why they wouldn’t let you do that, if you have the receipt, just be like I’d forget my head if it wasn’t screwed on!

I think the items will need to be "processed" and I doubt they will be put back straight away. You probably won't get to buy them back at all.

Poor M and S need to recover from their cyber attack.

They'll do it and won't put things back on the shelf. Just ask and explain. However some of their sale items aren't returnable unless faulty. So you may struggle with those.

It's pretty likely you will spend 40 in m and s again? Why go to all that hassle now?
