That's it really. Have lost 2 stone on MJ. Two more to go..Going into office more and really fancy wearing a midi/knee length dress that I can wear with trainers..couldn't wear anything like that before the weightloss due to huge belly which has now shrunk .

I can't really wear anything empire line as they draw attention to the boobs horrendously and anyway the bust part would always be too tight/small..bra size is still 40G. Definitely can't wear anything with a 'waist' as I have a long torso and the waistline ends up under the bust, emphasising it horribly and looking misshapen. Can't wear anything floaty as it then hangs straight down from the boobs, making me look huge

I would love a button through knee length tea dress but I have searched high and low and they're all waisted and really short in the body. Other option is a wrap dress but a lot are 'waisted' too and I'm nervous of it falling open.

Anyone got any ideas?

How tall are you? H&M have got some lovely shirt dresses at the moment that might work, but I - thank goodness - went into a branch yesterday to see what the sizing was like and they are very long. I am a shortarse though. If you are maybe over 5ft 8 worth considering.
Actually they've got tunics too that might work.
I'll go grab a couple of links.

M&co online do some good dresses like you need. I’m also not able to wear things with a waist

I would avoid flared and buttons in middle, the buttons make you look wider

I have a similar shape to yours (long torso and 38GG, bloody nightmare to dress) and recently bought two dresses from NRBY for weddings this summer. Both loose and floaty, but had tie belts so could cinch in at the right place. Worth a look?

Have you considered New Look's tall range? I haven't tried their dresses but their tall jeans are great, the whole style is adjusted not just the leg length. I'd really hope they have done the same with their dresses.

Congrats on the weight loss.
If you're a size 16, your bra size can't possibly be 40G. If there's a bravissimo or independent bra shop near you, go and get fitted.
I'm a size 16 atm, bra size 34H, and with the right size bra, a dress that fits well around the boobs doesn't make them look too huge.

I have this dress (in a different print) and find it comfy and flattering:

I also have some Hush dresses which despite being shirt dresses (usually a big no-no) actually have decent boob room.

Forgot to mention I am quite tall - though in proportion so I have longish legs as well as torso!
