Heading to Prague for a few days end of September

Usually for city breaks I just wear the merrells and get on with it. Only Prague is as I understand it, more stylish/smart casual

City breaks for us are out early morning, sight see, sight see, sight see, then early dinner wherever we collapse around 5 , and back to apartment for a nightcap and crash till we do it again the next day :) ( 60's ) . So never needed more than our day clothes. This trip we have two places we need to look a tad smarter - not sight seeing clothes - but we are still doing the underseat bag so looking for help in finding a pair of shoes which will go day to evening and be able to cope with 20k steps on cobbles a day . For the more dressy up occasions it will be trousers for me . Just dont want to be walking into a half decent restaurant and concert hall wearing obvious walking boots

Decent trainers? Most women wear them in the evening. Pretty comfortable for walking in - M&S on line have a huge selection. Do you not take any carry on bag at all? Most bags give space for a pair of shoes! Or just wear trainers all the time. No one really notices under trousers. Or even with a dress.

Not sure Prague is that smart! It’s not Paris and it will be quite hot. I’ve attached a few ideas for you. Just look for comfortable trainers. Merrill make some!

FitFlop Rally trainers cover all bases. So comfortable for mikes of walking, and smart enough with dresses.

I wore my adidas gazelles at Glastonbury where I did 110,000 steps in 4 days and my feet were fine they are so comfy.

Depending on the weather I'd wear quality boots with good leather or rubber soles

I thought that when I visited Milan, left my walking boots at home and took a pair of stylish trainers. Wish I’d just taken my boots as every other person was wearing walking boots, and I had sore feet .

I'm in Prague. Today I did 25 000 ish steps in these Birkenstock sandals and yesterday 20 000 ish in these New Balance trainers.

I'm going to a concert tomorrow and will wear the sandals I think.

I didn’t see anyone in walking boots in Milan. It’s a stylish city. Trainers are the obvious solution.
