What's the best bargain and / or most expensive thing you've bought on Vinted?

I'm in Ireland & our Vinted is connected to France so LOADS of French sellers with beautiful French labels.

My best bargain was a The Kooples shirt in pristine condition for €20!

My most expensive purchase was Isabel Marant boots for €120. They were unworn & in their box with dust bag etc

I bought two new (BNWT) dresses by Nancy Mac both retail at £270 ish for £65 each. It is addictive!

mondaytosunday · 26/07/2025 14:50

Not me but my DD bought a gorgeous backless ball gown in excellent condition for £15. No idea the designer/make but it was lace over silk over tulle. She’s generally had good experiences- one vintage satin dress was stained (it was same stain back and front like something leaked on it) and the seller promptly refunded her and told her to keep the dress. She turned it into a blouse as the top was not affected.
Being a size 10-12 and 5’6.5” helps and most items have fit her perfectly. She has bought shoes but her spending limit is £15 and preferably under £5!

TheLeadbetterLife · 26/07/2025 14:52

I’m connected to French vinted too, although weirdly not Ireland. What other countries do you get OP? I get Portugal, Spain, France, Belgium, Italy, and the Netherlands.

SchoolDilemma17 · 26/07/2025 14:52

Most expensive item £100 bag from Kate Spade, it arrived and was literally like new
best bargain: Armani blazer for £30 and BNWT dress from LK bennett for £20

considering buying a Dyson airwrap for around £120ish

LifesTooShortForBadSex · 26/07/2025 14:53

Some great bargains!

I don't know Nancy Mac so must look that up.

I love Sezane, Maje, Sandro, ba&sh etc & there's so much choice.

It really is addictive!

I don’t know if there’s a way to check, I just know from the locations of things that come up.

LifesTooShortForBadSex · 26/07/2025 14:58

Aha! I wonder if I searched for non French brands would other locations show up.

I'll try it. I feel like a kid in a sweet shop - so much choice!!

I've been using vinted for about 9 months now and love it so much. I only wear one brand, and have got some fabulous things, too many to list. I've enjoyed seeing in there too.

That's fascinating @dudsville
Do you really only wear one single brand?

I go through phases of brands so I'm def drawn to that idea but I have a whole mix in my wardrobe these days

Having said that they're all from brands that are sort of similar. I dont have wild variations of styles or looks

Is it Toast? That brand seems to attract people who dress exclusively from there

A Liberty brand and Liberty print coater lightweight anorak.
A Ralph Lauren menswear 'fun shirt' bayport sports jacket
I think both were around £100 each but I can't quite remember.
I don't usually spend anywhere near that amount on one item and I think the Ralph Lauren jacket retails at double the price.

AngryLikeHades · 26/07/2025 15:52

I've bought an obscene amount of clothing from Vinted and I'm so happy there's a better alternative to flailing ebay.

Got it in one, @LifesTooShortForBadSex. Everything goes with everything else and it suits my lifestyle

fingfong · 26/07/2025 18:56

@dudsvillesnap! Have tried branching out and it ends in disappointment - I can’t afford the full price though so get most of it second hand 😊

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 26/07/2025 19:00

I don't spend more than £20 usually so if there's a problem it's not a great loss. They only time I've spent over my set budget was a PomPom London bag for £40.

Last month I bought a brand new Estee Lauder ANR serum for £18, it was still in its cellophane wrapper!!

OneGoldDreamer · 26/07/2025 19:08

A gorgeous accessorize bag that cost £1. Was like new! Saw it in shop for £25!

Cocolapew · 26/07/2025 19:11

A pair of floral Stan Smiths for £5 they were over £150 on other sites.

SiobahnRoy · 26/07/2025 19:23

Best bargain brand new boden cashmere jumper £15
most spent was on a seafolly swimsuit BNWT but it is worth every penny and still less than half the RRP

Well i can't say i blame you, or @fingfong ! I have some clothes & shoes from there but Brexit has made it too expensive now.

But you've prompted me to see if there's any on Vinted that I can access!

A shubette dress with a tag on for £190 for £5.99 is my favourite. It’s very addictive but brilliant for replacing a full wardrobe when losing weight

GrimDamnFanjo · 27/07/2025 00:47

Katherine hooker blazer in perfect condition for £40. RRP £1075.

uncomfortablydumb60 · 27/07/2025 01:56

I replaced my much loved Superdry leather jacket. I left my violent ex in a hurry and left my jacket I paid £125 and replaced for £23

uncomfortablydumb60 · 27/07/2025 02:01

I buy all my Clinique skincare on Vinted Most are gift with purchases or travel sizes
i bought 100 ml hydrating overnight mask for £4
except for the leather jacket my limit is £10
Genuinely Vinted has changed my life
im so much more “ colourful” with my clothes now, and at 60 I regularly am complimented on my dress sense

ShameTheDevil · 27/07/2025 03:24

Best and most expensive -

Off-White trainers, new and boxed, retail at £450, were £160 including verification

Best otherwise -

Chloe sunglasses, £60 inclouding verification - gorgeous, vintage, rare. I don’t think the seller realised how much they are worth!! Eek

My collection of secondhand work blazers, costing £10 -£30 each. I haven’t bought a blazer outside of Vinted in a couple of years. I’ve had a few duff buys, but have mostly been very lucky - everything from Zara, H&M, Jaeger to Me&Em, Massimo Dutti, MaxMara, Ralph Lauren.
