Has anyone used these? I keep seeing them recommended but after falling for one too many Instagram post I’d rather have genuine recommendations.

No help I know, but keep seeing the same ads pop up. I’m wondering the same

I like it and I feel it does give a good finish to my wavy hair. It’s expensive though. I bought the kit, but next time I’d just buy products 3-5 which are: a leave-in conditioner, foam and a gel. I haven’t found the shampoo and conditioner any different to the curly girl (cheaper) ones I usually use. It was new to me to use foam and gel.

That’s interesting and more affordable. Thank you

I use the Umberto Gianni Curl Jelly and it's not perfect, at £8 a tube it's a good place to start if you're new to embracing the waves/curl. I can't see the shampoo or conditioner being worth it but then with a discount code for the full set these actually don't work out that expensive. No doubt I'll fall for it before too long but be good to hear from anyone else who uses it in the meantime

I’m really happy with it. I buy the 1ltr bottles of the shampoo and conditioner with the pumps which works out a bit more reasonable price wise if you know you like it. I use the wave cream (small amount) and the foam. My hair is probably a bit curlier than their target market but it is fine so lots of the curly stuff is too heavy for it. I’m very happy with it. I have the protein stuff but don’t use it very often - not really sure what I am doing with it to be honest. The gel was nice too but I don’t like much product and happy with the foam so just use that. My hair for reference. I really don’t use much product so could easily be less fluffy with a bit more gel/foam.

I keep seeing them too but it looks like a load of steps. I've just started seeing one for Lumina Beauty WOW CurlBeauty Styling Spray which claims it is literally just spray and air dry.

My hair is only a little bit wavy, it's just that it's hugely thick and sticks out like a frizzy helmet. I want a product that just sticks it down a bit and it might be that defining the waves more would achieve that.

Anyone used this WOW one? I don't own a hairdryer and can't be arsed with multiple bottles of stuff

Loopytiles · 25/07/2025 16:32

Tried it around 12 times with adjustments to the stages/products used and it wasn’t good for me. Hair was wavy but fluffy (without the gel) or wet looking and crunchy (with it).

It was also tedious in terms of process.

I have fine, shoulder length, wavy hair.

Your hair is glorious!

@DappledThings Your hair description made me laugh & sounds like mine. Lots of it, very thick and ridiculously frizzy, which is why I’ve always smoothed it down and then added waves but too lazy to properly style it everyday unless I’m going out so taming my waves has been a good compromise. My hair is loosely wavy, definitely not curly.

I don't know how to smooth it down without getting the straighteners out and again, cannot be arsed!

It's fine till it's about 95% dry. The thickness still hangs quite nicely, then that final 5% kicks in and it's like a little bomb goes off and sends it out sideways and doubling in size.

Defies most laws of physics.

holamargareta · 25/07/2025 16:56

I have it, but only use the foam and gel, as I’m happy with my other products. I was surprised how well it works for me.

Tontostitis · 25/07/2025 17:05

I bought the kit it was very expensive contained 2 products that were awful on my hair two that were middling but not good and an ok but not amazing conditioner. it did have an amazing hair towel tying up thing that I use regularly at the gym Overall didn't suit my wavy hair any better than good quality shampoo and conditioner. My hair has responded incredibly well to marine collagen.
