GHD or Cloud 9?

Sorry this has probably been done before.

I have always bought Ghd straighteners, my first pair in 2005 lasted almost 10 years. Second pair lasted about 5 years and the last few pairs have been pretty crap. My latest straighteners have died after 6 months! I’ve got a refund but wondering if I should swap to a different brand?

Are Cloud 9 as good? I’ve always been happy with Ghd results but their quality seems to have really dropped.

I recently had this same question, my old GHDs were 20 years old.
Everything I read suggested that the new ones aren’t as good.
I went with Cloud9 due to the variable temperature and the vibrating plates, they have been great so far and no regrets here.

Having never had a decent pair of straighteners, I did a fair bit of research between the two and settled on cloud 9. Very pleased I did - that was nearly a year ago and I still love them just as much. I’ve a couple of friends who have also said the quality of GHDs has dropped terribly. Many salons use cloud 9 as well.

My cloud 9s are much better than my daughter’s GHDs. They also came in a really nice travel case, the GHDs came with nothing. They were pricier though.

I had my Cloud 9s for several years and they recently gave up. Found some GHDs at a price I could afford and am quite disappointed -nowhere near as good as the old Cloud 9s.
