If I like Chanel No 19 Poudre and Tom Ford Noir Extreme, what else would I like

I have worn the Chanel for years and years and am finally coming to the end of the last bottle my ex gave me. I’d like a new scent that doesn’t remind me of said ex! I adore the Tom Ford but the cost is eye watering. As a teenager I loved heavy scents like YSL Opium and sweet things like Dior Hypnotic Poison. If money were no object I’d just buy the Tom Ford (I’ve had a mini one before, never the full size). What else is out there that I should try before I remortgage my house for TF? Despite my previous (80s!) taste, I would say I lean towards less feminine things, certainly nothing fruity or vanilla. The Chanel I love is powdery (as you’d expect) but also I think has iris, and has a sort of light woodiness or muskiness to it? I’m crap at describing scent.

Wow, you couldn't get two more diametrically opposed perfumes! I can't suggest alternatives to the Tom Ford, but I am a huge No 19 fan. Sadly, not many perfume houses are developing that green chypre style now. If you like the iris powdery note in No 19 Poudre, I'd suggest Prada Infusion d'Iris but it's not cheap. If you like the "greenness", two that won't break the bank and are worth a blind buy are Jacomo Silences and Guy Laroche Fidji (both around £25 on Amazon).
You can also try the Perfume Society's Find a Fragrance tool to see what it suggests. They are usually in a range of prices.
