Homemade Pedicure

My horrendous verruca means I can’t go and get a pedicure. Apart from a washing up bowl what else would I need ie to put in the water? Also noticed that another layer of skin is growing over the nails like a huge cuticle. I have just go back from holiday so the nail varnish need a refresh too. Some simple natural remedies or something I can get in out very limited pharmacy would be ideal.

I just put some bubble bath in the water when I soak my feet. Then get all the old polish off your nails, trim them with nail scissors (I do mine when they're wet so they're easier to cut) and use a metal nail cleaner stick to scrape out any nasties from under the nails. Use a cuticle stick when your feet are warm and wet to push your cuticles back gently. If you can't do this properly on your big cuticle then get some cuticle remover gel to soften it first, but I've always found that soaking mine in water is enough.
If your feet are dry, then a foot cream with urea works better than filing to soften them. I use the Scholl cracked heel balm.

Ahh I think I might do myself a pedicure now. I love doing my feet.

Take the polish off first then a really really good soak before you buff off dry skin and try to push the cuticle back. I know this sounds weird but there are some pedicure tutorials on YouTube! Very do able with basic stuff.

Thank you both. Off to find cuticle sticks!
