Looking for affordable handbag ideas

Hi there,

I’m looking to treat myself to a new handbag to make myself feel a bit more stylish (been too used to a fjalkraven backpack as my ‘mum’ bag!)

I want something not too big, not too small. I’ve seen one I love from the brand soeur, linked below, but far too dear. I guess it’s almost a hobo style but a bit more elevated? Budget is probably up to about £150!

Any brands to look at would be appreciated. Most drawn to burgundy or dark brown tones!

Have a look at Massimo Dutti, they do great bags in that price range. Also Arket and Cos.

This is a funny in between time of year, the ends of the sale stuff and the autumn stock isn't in yet, so maybe wait until late August to have more choice.

Alternatively have a look on Vinted/ebay/Vestiare where you'd get higher end brands in your price range

Had a little browse last night of some these recommendations - they are great! Cos and arket especially had some lovely stuff! Thanks for the tip though to wait a bit to see what comes in, it does feel a bit in between seasons!

Oh thanks for those links, I think this one is my favourite! Just a touch smaller than the others and I love the detailing!! Will have a good dig around on John Lewis now.
