Botox advice needed

I have not planned my appointments well and now have an appointment's worth of Botox to use but had a treatment recently so can't get it on upper part of face. Is there anywhere else I can get it? I have seen contradictory advice about near the mouth.

OP posts:

If its what you want go for it but i would say do your research first.

It makes people look older imo.
Pillow face when its over done.
Face muscles are not being used and can sage.
Botox never really leaves the face or anywhere it just spreads iyswim.
But this is just my opinion based on what my friend and friends of friends have had done.

FestivusMiracle · 18/07/2025 20:19

Can’t you just postpone it?

Last time I went, I had it under the corners of my mouth for the first time, it worked really well.

OP already has botox.

Pillow Face is from fillers.

The body breaks down the Botox molecules into amino acids, which are then excreted.

You are confusing it with fillers, botox wears off after 2-3 months.

Yes i know the difference i was just saying.
But botox just makes some look older and dose sage the face.

isitmytime · 18/07/2025 20:27

@classiccakebotox is metabolised and does indeed leave the body. The puffiness, spreading and pillow face are associated with fillers rather than Botox.

op chat with your practitioner. They’ll tailor your treatment to suit you best. I’ve had lip flip and corners of mouth before but I wasn’t hugely impressed so stick to frown/forehead/crowsfeet now

You said 'it never really leaves the face'.

I have had it internally in my rectum to stop muscle spasm after a life changing fissure.

I don’t wish that upon anyone / but it is an option.

Its true.

It does leave the face, I had it years ago and now it’s gone

Nevertrustacop · 18/07/2025 21:21

Of course Botox leaves the face!

Enterusername111333 · 18/07/2025 21:25

I usually just get my 11s done but if.had some to use I'd go for the lines from nose to mouth but it's so individual I'd speak with your aesthetician and see what they recommend or bank it for next time?

Game0fCrones · 18/07/2025 21:28

How about under the arms for sweating?

Game0fCrones · 18/07/2025 21:28

Or the platysma bands in the neck.

dontcomeatme · 18/07/2025 21:32

I had botox on the NHS for chronic migraines and occipital neuralgia. Get it in your neck and shoulders, I felt amazing after, definitely helped with back pain and upper back tension.

I mean…..scientifically, it’s actually not true!

Newbie8918 · 18/07/2025 21:56

Can’t you save it? What is the timeframe that you need to use it by? My practitioner doesn’t work like this, so I’ve never experienced it sorry but I would say, don’t just get a treatment for the sake of using some leftover product!

You’re getting mixed up with filler

Bridgetjonesheart · 18/07/2025 23:36

Don’t waste it! You can get it in your DAO muscle for a downturned smile, in your chin if it’s ‘cobbled’ or a Botox lip flip for a more upturned upper lip.
