Please help me find the ideal ankle boot!

I could really do with some help! I am searching for ankle boots, either flat or Western style, in either tan, black or navy. I have trouble with my feet in that they are often painful, so I need very soft leather or suede with no hard sewing ridges inside the foot. I am wide fit. I am willing to pay up to £250 for the right, comfortable pair! Thanks so much.

Depending on how wide fit you need, I have Anonymous Copenhagen Vully boots, which are not marketed as wide but I have wide enough feet to buy specialist shoes (Calla, Sole Bliss etc.) and they fit me. The leather is beautifully soft.

Fly London Chelsea boots

Try Next for Western boots - they do wide fit in a lot of styles so you might get lucky.

@SaintGermainMy comment, of your recommendation was meant for you

Some great suggestions, thanks! I love the Helsinki and the Anonymous Copenhagen. Hadn't thought of Next! Fly London are a bit too chunky for me. I'll get down to some research.

I have these and they are soft and wide and very comfy, didn’t need to wear them in at all.

These are nice. Do you find the sole gets caught on paving stones or other things when you are walking?

No, I’ve not noticed that. I find them very easy to wear and I wore them a lot last winter. They’re still in great nick so I shall be doing the same this year! I just wish they’d do more colours but there is a bit more variety if you look at the men’s sizes too.

If your feet hurt, you might need to look at footwear with really good support, like Vionic. I’ve suffered from plantar fasciitis and find Vionic brilliant. Sometimes they feel a bit funny when you first wear them, but they really work. The link is to the Vionic website, but you’ll find other styles at Simply Feet.

or you couid try Pikolinos, which is another brand that really looks after your feet.

Aria Wedge Ankle Boot

Beautiful, rich leather uppers combined with a lightweight sporty sole, this is the ultimate versatility meets walkability boot. Medial gore for a perfect fit, a side zip for easy on off and water repellent to take on the elements. Perfection.
