Jacket with peplum top...

Hello!

I'm loving that peplum tops are making a comeback but what jacket would you wear with one? Nothing I've got looks quite right.

Any jackets (like blazers) that are slightly fitted tend to be fitted around the waist, and that doesn't look right. But then anything oversized also looks strange.

Any suggestions?

Wouldn’t the jacket have to stop above the peplum?

Ohhh I don't know? Is that where I'm going wrong?

I’m sort of imagining - as I haven’t taken notice of a peplum for a very long time!

Short sharp jacket; neat top with big peplum; narrow, possibly tapered and cropped trousers?

All a bit 80s.
