Make up dupes for brands

Hi all- hoping you can help please!

over the next couple of months quite a lot of my makeup will run out at the same time. I’ve noticed the price has gone up a fair recently and am now wondering if branded make up is really significantly better eg bobbi brown, NAARS etc

Does anyone have any cheaper range items that are dupes? You’ve been happy with?
looking for a tinted moisturiser for pale skin (currently use bobbi brown), concealer (did use naars), liquid foundation (I have a Dior one but I like ones which seem too heavy), mascara.

ive swapped the liquid eyeliner from KVD/Lancôme and now have a Maybelline one which is really good actually.

I use a colour correcting cream for redness so any dupes of that would be great.

also the science behind branded vs supermarket brands would be great please? To the untrained eye both seem like a lot of chemicals so I can’t tell why one is worth 4x more money? Thanks!

Maybelline and L’Oreal both do excellent bases and concealers. Watch some YouTube videos. Pampered Wolf does excellent videos about high street for high end dupes.

I am sure lots of people will be along with dupes but consider waiting till offers on makeup are on as I have noticed near pay day, assuming people are monthly paid, there seems to be offers on high end makeup at the likes of Boots and JL.

i have tried so many dupes, cheaper copies etc over the years and been disappointed so I’ve come to the conclusion that I am better off sticking with what I like and what suits my skin. For me that means Estée Lauder powder foundation, EL mascara, Benefit or EL blush and bronzer and Clinique Bare Pop lipstick which is my go to colour. I find the formulations are better so I use less making them more cost effective.

That said, my cheaper repeat purchases are:

Garnier BB cream in Light
NYX Brow Glue (I changed from Benefit Gimme Brow)
Kiko eyeliner pencils

I’m sure others will come along with some great suggestions, but this is what works for me.

Thanks all! Yes @NeedWineNow i do agree with you to some extent. I tried to use rimmel foundation years and years ago. It weirdly felt heavy whilst also providing no real coverage or change to appearance! An achievement of some sort!!

@Britpopbaby yeah thats a good idea actually- I think it’s end of the month it happens. I have got good deals on Look Fantastic for posh shampoos etc in the past so they are definitely worth a look for when you want a particular item. I might just get the colour corrector on a deal and it’s Top Cashback.

@Sparkletastic thank you! I’ll have a look. I wanted to ask here first as I was sure someone would know of a trusted blogger. If I find people at random I feel that they are just trying to sell me things!
