Victoria Beckham make up overrated?

I’m just so gullible and a fool for Instagram and its lovely ads. What a load of rubbish the lipsticks are. The case is so flimsy the lips colour wobbles out so I know that’s going to last five minutes. The gloss in bright pink is unnoticeable when on. And don’t get me started on the miserable free gift!

I think trinnys make up is the same way over rated

SheBangstheDrums89 · 16/07/2025 16:10

Havn’t tried the lipsticks but love the eyeliners - the colours are great, they go on nicely and stay on well.

Boxfreshrussell · 16/07/2025 16:10

The mascara and eyeliner are the best I’ve used.

BlondeFool · 16/07/2025 16:16

I was given a mascara. No different to high street. I wouldn’t re buy.

Agree with this. Beautiful colours and great staying power.

holidayfever2024 · 16/07/2025 16:34

The eyeliners are the best !

Poonu · 16/07/2025 16:39

Eyeliners. All PR.
Super smudgy (not in a good way) IME

SandrenaIsMyBloodType · 16/07/2025 16:40

I love the eyeliners too but several of mine have broken - the whole coloured kohl centre has fallen right out of the component. I have switched to Hildun Beauty for similarly lovely colours, brilliant blendability and amazing staying power housed in a decent wood clench pencil that sharpens perfectly.
I also love the Bitten Lip Tint but have had two of the sponge doe foot applicators snap off so have given up on those too.
I do love the Vast Lash mascara and even though I own more blush than is reasonable, I have to keep repurchasing the Posh Cheek stick in Knickers because it’s idiot proof.

EachandEveryone · 17/07/2025 20:39

Oh god I’m getting the rage already. Why do these companies use such cheap twist up holders for lip glosses? So of course one of them twists up but not down so already it’s getting stuck in the top of the lid when it’s put back on. I just don’t get it. She’s not the only one either

Are the VB eyeliners better than Made By Mitchell? I have their smudge one and really like it, but about to run out so looking to re-purchase.

Rina66 · 17/07/2025 20:49

I like the eyeliners too

Pebbles16 · 17/07/2025 21:00

I like the eyeliner

Wexone · 17/07/2025 21:05

love her eyeliners and cream Eyeshadows. also her concealer with August b (can't spell it ) killed me to pay that amount but fabulous. all make up ranges have good and bad it's whatever works for you.

FestivusMiracle · 17/07/2025 21:08

My sister bought me two of the eyeliners, nice until you have to sharpen them (and
they’re very soft so that’s almost immediately). They are impossible to sharpen ime.

Hildun eyeliners are vastly superior.

Screamingabdabz · 17/07/2025 21:09

I’m glad you said it because it’s saved me money.

I’m a sucker for beauty recommendations. I’m old school so not bothered by Tik Tok influencers but do read some editorials and immediately buy whatever they rave about.

It’s always expensive. And it’s invariably always no better than the stuff you get off a stand in superdrug! I’d say the only ones worth spending extra on are the traditional houses - Chanel, Dior, Estée Lauder, Lancôme etc. and even that’s no guarantee sometimes!

EachandEveryone · 17/07/2025 21:44

I love Chanel.

Most of these celebrity makeup ranges are made by the same companies that supply Rimmel, collection, etc. check the ingredients in one against a cheap one. It’s just the same dressed up in a fancy packet.

So you have to replace it quicker

BurntBroccoli · 17/07/2025 21:50

Avon do similar eyeliners called Glimmersticks.
I use a lip liner from there too and it’s really good.

LightCameraBitchSmile · 17/07/2025 23:38

I think her tubing mascara is fantastic - the only one I use now

Appalonia · 17/07/2025 23:44

Some of the best ( nude ) lipsticks I've had lately were actually from Primark! Bought them on a whim but they were actually really good.

GrimDamnFanjo · 18/07/2025 00:29

I’d love to know where cosmetics are manufactured. I’m sure Bobby brown, kiko and beauty pie eyeshadow slicks are from the same factory for example.

willowstar · 18/07/2025 04:34

I love the Kajal eye liners. I like how smudgy they are and can be layered. I also really like the free mascara I got and might buy it. It is tubing so quite easy to remove.

VeryStressedMum · 18/07/2025 09:19

I like the kajal eyeliner

NeedWineNow · 18/07/2025 09:39

Really like the eyeliners (but ££). I have changed to the Kiko ones which are good. Had previously said, on another thread, that I liked the mascara but found it went cloggy in the tube very quickly so won't repurchase.
