Tips to transform my feet / toe nails!

I’ve never paid much attention to my feet except a bit of nail polish and now they are looking bad (dry skin, cuticles, rough patches, cracked heels, bunion!) am I painting a lovely picture?!

I tried Footner socks but it went badly wrong as I got terrible terrible blisters afterwards and was in agony for days - turns out the hard skin is actually useful in protecting your skin when walking!

So I can’t use Footner, but what else can I do at home to improve the appearance of my feet before holidays? Does anyone have any tips or products they recommend?

Try a Paraffin wax pedicure. Regular use of a foot cream with Urea. Good moisturiser. Soften the rough skin first for a few weeks, which means you can then remove it with a pumice easily.

Find somewhere that does elim pedicures. Expensive but so worth it. Trust me!

Was listening to a foot specialist the other day, they said everyone should let their feet breathe in the evening time and also regular soaking was essential. Other than that am no help!

Can't you just go get a pedicure somewhere? I can never get the same results at home.

Soak for a while, use a bowl if you dont bath

File the dead skin off

Cut the nails and push the cuticle back. Use a scrubbing brush to clean the nails.

Then moisturise. In winter, use bed socks to keep the moisturizer in.

Also massage them with cream. And nicely painted nails also helps.

Enjoy!

Thanks! Should I file the hard skin away before the soaking or after?

My foot are always really cracked and sore, I’ve used flexitol heal balm (with urea) before and it’s helped but still normally v dry. But these last few weeks I got desperate and started soaking my feet in warm water every evening, then filed the heels while still wet. Towel dried and THEN put on the flexitol. Game changer!
So soak - file - foot cream with urea.

You need to file them when dry then slather in cream. Flexitol or Dr o Keefes is the best.
i use cuticle oil on my nails and push them back.

Similar to above but you need to do it daily/ weekly

  1. Twice a week file dry
  2. once a week soak and file
  3. every day use a long handle brush in the shower with shower gel to clean feet
  4. Every night use urea 22% cream and they will feel lovely when you wake up and remember to do cuticles and nails too

after a few weeks you can drop the dry filing.
