Alternative to M&S Pure Cleansing Balm?

I discovered this lovely stuff from recommendations on here a couple of years ago and love it!

But now, following the M&S troubles, I can’t get hold of any and have mere days left in my pot😫 None in any local stores within half an hour’s drive and still not available to order online.

Any recommendations for a good alternative in the same sort of price bracket please??

I used to use this then couldn’t get hold of it after our M&S closed and now use one from Superdrug. It doesn't have the lovely smell so isn’t as luxurious but it feels nice on the skin and cleanses well. There’s now a rosehip one too which I haven’t tried.

The Superdrug balm irritates my eyes, I now use the no7 version and it’s really good, smells lovely too.

It’s funny how different everyone is isn’t it? The Superdrug one is one of the few that doesn’t irritate me 😆

I love Wella Skin Food cleansing balm. It’s a super alternative (I have switched from Elemis) and very soothing.

I think it’s probably intended to copy either Clinique or Elemis (the latter is my favourite) so there are options but they probably cost more

These two are fine for the price and easy to get hold of from Boots

The Elemis one is the nicest but is pretty expensive so it’s very much a treat for me.

clinique Take the Day Off and Elemis are great as everyone else says. Banilla Co Zero cleansing balm is very similar to Clinique and is a bit cheaper. It’s Korean and get it from Yes Style but you can get it elsewhere.

Thanks for all of these suggestions! I too love the Elemis one but it’s so expensive that it becomes a Christmas and birthday treat😂

There isn’t a Superdrug near me so may try the No7 one.

Didn't get on as well with the Inkey List one and frankly they annoyed me by saying you should use toner after serum which just didn’t make sense in my head!

Will also investigate Banilla Co Zero as never heard of them.

If only M&S could get their shit together…

They sell it on Ocado if that’s any help?

Whoooo · 16/07/2025 09:49

Got the same issue
I've switched to the aldi rose balm cleanser
It's lovely

Balms with similar experiences -

Clinique take the day off cleansing balm is excellent for removing make up.

And similar price to the M&S one is the body shop camomile cleansing balm.

For a non balm, the ordinary squaline cleanser is good. As are the curel cleansers.

High end I love Oskia renaissance but it’s a second cleanse as opposed to first I feel.

Fridaynightfish · 16/07/2025 09:54

As you can see I love cleansers 🤣

SaintGermain · 16/07/2025 10:00

Lancome rose 80 and Dior Prestige.

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 16/07/2025 19:18

@Fridaynightfish I’ve got the ordinary squaline, may try it again and see how I get on. Thanks everyone!
